How do I find an old message?
Open search in the chat, enter some words and tap a result to jump to its location. The surrounding history may need to load; avoid repeated taps while loading.
When does the device notify me?
Eligible messages notify you when you are not viewing their chat. New messages in the visible chat do not notify while the app is in the foreground. Muting and device notification settings also apply.
Is a room private chat the same as a direct chat?
A room private chat belongs to that room and participant nickname. A direct chat belongs to an account. They are separate conversations with their relevant privacy rules.
How do I manage mentions and muting?
Use chat options to mute a conversation. Open Mentions and Alerts from My Profile for available mention controls. Check the device notification permission if alerts are missing.
